Just before the Angelus prayer, Pope Benedict invited the faithful to live Monday's commemoration of All Souls in a Christian Spirit, that is, in the light of the Pascal mystery.
Sunday was a beautiful, sunny day in St. Peter's square, reminding us of the glory of the Saints. For this joyful feast the Pope noted that the Saints invite us to follow Jesus with joy and without fear.
The Saints, he said, encourge us to pray and to work with pure hearts.
